The Dude abides...

When I left the temp was 26, by the time I got up by the Hospital sign it was 33.  Nice to have a little warmup around 6:30 am.  Good run except for the last 4 miles.  My left calf started feeling cramped and wouldn't let up.  Feels ok now but I'll have to watch it.

Good uneventful run today.  Uneventful included no calf issues which was great, I was a little worried after yesterday.

Grrrr...calf tightness again today for the last 3 miles.  With about 1.5 left a little poodle type dog came out after me I had to stop and yell at it just as it was trying to go for my leg.  I wasn't really worried about it because it was a little dog, a stupid little dog.  Of course nobody around to claim ownership of it.

Very slick this morning, about .5 inches of snow melted on the road to form ice.  I was searching for the little bit of crunchy snow on the shoulder of the road.  The crunchy snow wasn't slippery.  Wore a calf sleeve today and it felt better, I'll probably have to wear it for a week or so.

Very weird morning.  Saw the wind warnings on the news this morning, looked out the window and no wind.  Get about 2 miles in and start getting the wind out of Weber canyon but not too bad.  At about 3.5 miles in it starts howling and it's swirling from all different directions.  Up around the Ogden Athletic club it was blowing very hard but the further I got away from the mountain on my 2nd half the lighter the wind until I got about 9 miles in and no wind again, crazy.  At one point about a quarter mile in front of me I could see the flags blowing away from me meaning a tail wind but the wind was actually a very strong head wind.  My legs are tired now after pushing through the wind.
